Video Upload That Contain Someone Else’s Music So You Can Earn Money From It.
I recently loaded a video and was told after uploading that
the background song is a copyright product. If I choose to publish that video
as a monetize video, all money meant to be earn would be directed to the
original owner of that song.
Does that now mean that I cannot earn money except I produce
a song of my own that plays my own music at the background of the video? No.
Note that YouTube has strict guidelines for videos you
upload to be eligible for monetization and that includes videos you recorded at
home, concert, music events and lots more. If you recorded a video of the crowd
at a music event, the video clip cannot be monetized on YouTube as you do not
have the rights to the audio.
When you eventually upload such a video to YouTube, YouTube
expects that you remove the copyright infringement and if you don’t, all the
advertising revenue is shared with the music owner and not the video up loader.
If there is any video uploaded by you on your YouTube
channel that cannot be monetized since by right you don’t own the music,
there’s now an easy way out. All you need to do is to change the background
music of these videos uploaded by you with a royalty-free music track from
YouTube audio library and publish the video and as soon as you are done with
this, the video will become eligible for monetization.
To do this, follow
the steps below:

Go to the Video Manager inside YouTube and select “Unclaimed” videos from the drop down. Alternatively, you may visit this link to directly view all your uploaded videos that are pending monetization.

Step 2:
The gray icon indicates that the video is non-monetized. If it is an audio issue, the fix is simple. We will replace the background music with another song that can be monetized. To do this, click the “Edit” button and select “Audio” from the drop down

Step 3:
On the next screen, choose any song from the YouTube audio library that is listed as “ad-free and eligible for monetization” and posting the audio such that it occupies the entire video. Click save button to replace the original music in your video with the selected song.

After doing this, you
will have to give YouTube some time to mix the new track with your existing
video and once that is done, go back to your YouTube video manager and choose
the Edit option for that video. Switch to monetization tab and select usage
Policy. Save the changes and you can now monetizae that video just like your
other YouTube videos.
Follow all instruction as instructed and you
will enjoy reaping money from the videos that you uploaded yourself.
